Feng shui - Use it to help you sell!
MONMOUTH JUNCTION, N.J.The old Victorian home sat on the market for six months without selling before its anxious owners decided to ask for some help - from a pair of feng shui consultants.

Mary Jane Kasliner and Shelley Mengo couldn't do much to change the size of the tiny master bedroom, but they had other advice for the owners. Move the for-sale sign to a different spot, remove extra furniture and strategically place items like candles and plants around the house to create balance between "yin and yang," they instructed.

Their goal: a more serene home with better chi, or energy.

An expert shares some tips (and surprises) about keeping the home tidy

They throw more chemicals at the job and end up with corroded fixtures and ruined finishes on porcelain sinks and tubs.

There's a better way to deal with black mold growing on sink fixtures, crusty white calcium deposits and green zinc buildups, says Richmond cleaning expert Jule T. Matthews.

'No doc' mortgage fit couple's circumstances

Q: A few months ago, my husband and I were first-time home buyers who had trouble getting pre-approved for a mortgage, as you often recommend.

Then we saw a mortgage broker's little real estate newspaper ad that said, "Loan problems welcome." It turned out our situation wasn't a big problem, although we thought it was.

Richmond Strikers receive a prime site in eastern Henrico
It is a prime piece of real estate, just under 80 acres in eastern Henrico County at interstates 64 and 295, just off of U.S. Route 60. It has public water, is zoned for commercial development and is appraised at $8 million.

But instead of developing it or selling it, Bob Atack and his partner, Bill Johnson, gave it away this month.
